After a fascinating day at The National Archives at Kew, researching the history of m'plot and environs, I hurried home to catch the last of rapidly fading light of another fine day, to see what The Boys - Jon, Matt, Ryan and Tim - had been up to. And oh, what a busy day they'd had!
Despite being locked out of the site by secure Heras fencing, I was able to see the progress they'd made with the 'enabling works' - making the ground fit for ten ton delivery trucks, bearing in mind the ground was in danger of becoming a swampy mire, especially if the weather forecast was anything to go by, as those charming weather folk teased us with indications of rain on the way.
I have a drive! Admittedly, it isn't quite a gravel drive with a designer crunch. One hundred and eighty tons of crushed concrete tipped and spread to create my 'drive' and sweep to the front door.
Sorry about the low fi blurred pics, iphone camera playing-up.
