Day 208-209 April 25 - 26th - Ply, Plasterboard and Big Barry, the Plasterer

The BarnBoys are steaming on inside.....

With the arrival of Big Barry, the plasterer, M'hat and Smiley Tim were under pressure to finish plaster-boarding Bedroom 2, while Big Barry plastered the dressing room and masterfully plastered the rooflight. Next stop, Bedroom 2, with his trusty trowel, pink pug (?) and stilts!

Where's the grey plaster I remember? Apparently, pink is the new grey.

Day 205-207. April 22 - 24 - Snug as a Bug in a Rockwool Rug

So, in between the stud work and on top of the insulation board, goes a thick wodge of ROCKWOOL® insulation material, literally a stone wool – a blend of naturally occurring volcanic diabase rock.  If you're dying to know more about Rockwool insulation, performance and properties, check out the link.

Unfortunately, for the BarnBoys this is an itchy, scratchy job, but, uncomplaining as ever, they made a good start in the Dressing Room, Bedroom 2 and Recording Studio.

Happy Easter everyone.  I sacrificed the lamb, so to speak, to get up to date with my blog posts.  I will go back, in due course, and add a bit of commentary here and there to the pics.

Must away, the Easter Bunny is calling......

Day 194 - 195. April 12th - Front, Back and Sides

BarnGirl went off on a few courses for a week or so, leaving the BarnBoys in peace, to crack on inside and out, while overseeing Robert's fine job on the oak framed windows. Yes, the temporary Celotex 'wind holes' have been replaced with real windows, inviting loads of natural light in the upper deck.

M'hat Matt and Smiley Tim are now shivering indoors, finishing off insulation and ply work.  Evidently, the layers of insulation are working!  Or is it because you've lost so much weight due to the lack of cakes recently?! Sorry, guys. Fear not, Kitchen AID is back.
